Project Kindred Media and Communications
Terms + Conditions
Project Kindred experiences include opportunities for storytelling, creative expression, and community sharing. These Terms and Conditions explain how media and communications may be collected, used, and shared as part of participation in Project Kindred programming.
This page exists to inform participants and families before authorization is provided through a signed form.
Purpose
Media and communications help Project Kindred document experiences, share impact, build community trust, and sustain programming. Participation may involve being photographed, recorded, or having work created during programming shared.
Details for specific experiences are communicated in advance.

Not every type of media is collected during every experience.
How Media May Be Used
When authorization is provided, media may be used by Project Kindred for purposes including:
Program documentation and storytelling
Marketing and outreach

Digital platforms and social media
Educational or informational materials

Project Kindred does not guarantee where, how often, or in what format media may appear.
Authorization and Opt In
Authorization for media and communications is provided through the Program Participation and Safety Agreement form.
Participants age 18 or older provide their own authorization.
For participants under 18, a parent or legal guardian provides authorization.
Participants may also be asked to share their own comfort level with media participation.
Authorization applies across the program year and may cover different experiences at different times.
Participant and Guardian Preferences
Project Kindred respects participant comfort and family preferences whenever possible.
If a minor’s preference conflicts with a guardian’s permission, Project Kindred will make a best effort to honor the participant’s stated preference unless otherwise agreed in writing in advance; Project Kindred cannot guarantee exclusion or editing after media is published.
Due to the nature of group settings, public spaces, and live experiences, Project Kindred cannot guarantee exclusion from all media or retroactive removal of content once captured or shared.
Media may appear incidentally in group or public settings even when individual participation is limited.
Ownership and Rights
Project Kindred does not claim ownership of a participant’s identity.
Authorization grants Project Kindred a non exclusive, royalty free, and ongoing right to use approved media for organizational purposes.
No compensation is provided for the use of media or creative work.
Privacy and Care
Project Kindred uses reasonable care to represent participants respectfully and appropriately.
Names may or may not be used alongside media.
Sensitive information is not intentionally shared.
Media use follows internal safety and communication practices.
Changes and Updates
Media and communications practices may evolve over time. Updates are reflected on this webpage and communicated when appropriate.
No Compensation
Participants or guardians consenting to media use understand that no compensation, payment, or reimbursement is owed for the use of media or creative work unless explicitly agreed to in writing in advance by Project Kindred.
Nothing in these Terms creates an expectation of compensation or a right to payment.
