An experiential interview for all
Our young people are the core of what we do. They know Kindred inside and out, and there’s no one better suited to express the needs of camp than our campers. In our search for summer staff, we set up Experiential Interviews - hands-on, scenario-based interviews with our applicants to gauge their abilities. Our campers jumped at the chance to volunteer their time and came to MYAC on a Saturday afternoon to participate.
Whether it was the excitement of acting out camp scenarios or being able to tell us what they really think, it was heartwarming to see our campers engaged in the hiring process. Your investment allows us to engage our campers in every aspect of our work. From interviews to rainy days at camp, we provide our campers and staff with a transparent, informative, and moldable process.
We acted out real-life scenarios such as bullying, swimming insecurities, and how to handle restorative justice processes. Our campers came invested, provided ideas on how to better the process, and supported our applicants with tips and ideas on how to handle the scenarios to fit the camper's needs. Because of your support, Project Kindred can maintain an equitable, engaging hiring process.
Help us continue to seek the best, most qualified summer staff!
