    Yaa Engel leads Project Kindred with a clear commitment to youth, families, and community. Her background spans economic development, venture capital, and education, giving her a unique lens for building systems that create real opportunity. Before joining Project Kindred, she led major revitalization efforts for Milwaukee’s inner harbor. Yaa has been recognized nationally for her leadership, including honors from Fortune and Michelle Obama. She enjoys time with her son, exploring new places, and staying grounded through hot yoga.

  • Adriana Salgado-Santiago

    EXPERIENCE ARCHITECT

    Adriana Salgado Santiago is a thoughtful, community driven leader who designs the experiences that shape Project Kindred’s culture. As Experience Architect, she creates programs, events, and learning environments rooted in connection, equity, and joy. An AmeriCorps alumna, Adriana holds a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies and an M.A. in Social Impact. She blends storytelling, systems thinking, and care to support young people and families. She enjoys reading, collecting stationery, and traveling with her husband and children.
