Terms + Conditions

Purpose

These Transportation Terms and Conditions explain how participants may travel to, from, and during Project Kindred connected experiences.

This section exists to ensure participants and families understand transportation expectations, including movement throughout the city, meeting at designated locations, independent or semi independent travel, carpool arrangements, and transportation to locations outside of the county, and to clarify when supervision may or may not be provided.

What This Covers

These terms apply to transportation related activity connected to Project Kindred programming, which may include:

  • Walking to or from activities

  • Movement throughout the city during programming

  • Meeting at designated locations for experiences

  • Use of public transportation

  • Travel to partner or community sites

  • Movement between locations during an experience

  • Independent or semi independent travel by participants

  • Transportation to locations outside of the county for select experiences

Transportation may occur before, during, or after scheduled programming and may take place in public or community spaces or locations outside of the county.

Transportation arrangements vary by experience.

City Based Experiences

For experiences taking place within the city:

  • Participants are expected to meet Project Kindred staff at a designated location, unless otherwise communicated

  • Participants may be responsible for traveling to and from the designated location independently

  • Supervision begins when participants arrive at the designated location and ends when the experience concludes, unless otherwise stated

Participants may move throughout the city during programming, including traveling between locations on their own, when applicable to the experience.

Carpools

Carpools may be arranged for certain experiences.

  • Carpool arrangements must be communicated in advance

  • Carpools are not guaranteed

  • For participants under 18, any individual transporting or picking up the participant must be approved and documented in the participant file

Project Kindred does not supervise or control carpool arrangements unless explicitly stated.

Out of County Experiences

For select experiences outside of the county:

  • Project Kindred may provide transportation to and from the experience

  • A designated pick up and drop off location will be communicated in advance

  • Participants under 18 must be dropped off and picked up by a parent or legal guardian or an approved adult listed in the participant file

  • Participants who are 18 or older may meet at and depart from the designated location independently

Transportation is provided only between designated locations.

What You Are Acknowledging

By agreeing to these terms, the signer acknowledges and understands that:

  • Participation may involve moving throughout the city

  • Participants are generally expected to meet at designated locations

  • Participants may travel independently to and from those locations

  • Some experiences include travel outside of the county

  • Transportation may be provided only in specific situations and only between designated locations

  • Public and community spaces involve inherent variability and risk

  • Some travel may occur without direct staff supervision

Agreement to participate includes acceptance of these transportation conditions when applicable.

Project Kindred does:

  • Communicate transportation expectations and designated locations when relevant

  • Provide supervision during transportation only when explicitly stated

  • Coordinate group movement when appropriate to the experience

  • Provide transportation to and from designated pick up and drop off locations for select out of county experiences

Project Kindred does not:

  • Guarantee transportation methods, routes, timing, or carpools

  • Provide door to door transportation

  • Provide supervision during all travel or movement

  • Monitor or control participant movement before arrival or after departure from designated locations

  • Control public transportation systems, third party drivers, or vehicles

  • Assume responsibility for independent or unsupervised travel decisions

  • Provide transportation insurance

Supervision during transportation varies based on the experience, location, and participant age.

Participant and Family Responsibilities

Participants and families are responsible for:

  • Reviewing transportation expectations for each experience

  • Ensuring participants arrive at designated locations on time

  • Communicating carpool needs or plans in advance

  • Keeping authorized pickup and transportation contacts up to date in the participant file, especially for participants under 18

  • Determining readiness for independent or semi independent movement within the city

  • Ensuring participants understand how to navigate public spaces safely

Failure to follow transportation expectations may limit participation in certain experiences.

Limits, Exceptions, and Boundaries

These terms:

  • Apply only to transportation connected to Project Kindred programming

  • Do not guarantee transportation availability, supervision, or monitoring

  • Do not eliminate risks associated with travel or movement in public or community spaces

Some experiences may require additional transportation related acknowledgments or permissions.

How Information Is Used and Stored

Transportation related acknowledgments and approved pickup information are collected to support appropriate participation.

Information is stored and used in accordance with Project Kindred data protection practices. Additional details are available in the Data Use and Privacy Terms and Conditions.

Updates and Changes

Transportation expectations apply for the defined participation period.

Transportation practices may change based on program needs. Material changes require re acknowledgment when applicable.
