Breaking Barriers.
Building Bridges.

Developing a new generation of leaders to transform our city.

We’re working to disrupt the cycle of segregation in Milwaukee by uniting young people of diverse backgrounds and empowering them to lead our city toward justice, equity, and love.

What is Project Kindred?

Project Kindred is an eight-year experiential leadership program that develops diverse communities of empowered young leaders in communities divided by segregation.

We Build Changemakers

We start by bringing together diverse groups of young people from Milwaukee, directly reflective of the diversity of our city.

We develop these leaders through long-term, immersive, and incredibly fun learning experiences. We provide opportunities for youth to develop meaningful, cross-cultural relationships while developing the skills and values necessary to become transformative leaders through real-world challenges and safe risk-taking.

“Connecting children of diverse backgrounds with the help of amazingly compassionate, loving, creative, smart, engaged adults...isn't this the way to make the future awesome?”

— Kindred Caregiver

We need more bridge builders.

Young people are natural community builders and leaders, but segregation limits their potential. We unite young people of diverse backgrounds and empower them to lead.

Gifts of any amount help provide this essential, transformative programming to all families in Milwaukee, regardless of their circumstances.
